Well, it's time. We bought loon, our 1983 Nonsuch 30C in September three years ago. We did a little fall sailing and then put her away for the winter. In the spring, we did a lot of work on the boat. The previous owner had not done much in the way of upkeep. We gave her a good cleaning, waxed the top sides updated the electronics to Garmin, installed a new Garmin As-enabled VHF (with a remote microphone at the helm), replaced the black water system with a composting toilet, stripped and revarnished the cockpit table, varnished/added a drink holder, and swim ladder, and then sailed her a few times in 2025. In 2026, we uncovered he, cleaned her, painted the bottom, prop speed on the propeller, and had brand new plexiglass hatchboards fabricated. Currently, we are upgrading the propane for the galley stove and adding a new on-demand propane water heater. We just replaced the main halyard.

However, as much as we are trying, we just cannot seem to love thelis boat. We have been sloop sailors for decades. We sailed a C&C 36 for more than 20 years and fell in love with the boat. We just don't have that same feeling for the Nonsuch. So, while our upgrades are still new, it is time to move her along. Asking $30K USD.

She is currently in Noank, CT and have a slip for the rest of the season. We are scheduling showings now.

Hi Walter, I’m from Old Saybrook. I’m currently looking for a 26 but being told to also consider the 30. I take it your boat is in Noank? I sailed a 26C #134 from 2000 to 2010.  I’m getting back into sailing after retiring.  Thanks, Harry Shettles 860 859-2815
